Condition 96%. Excellent, near mint example of this beautiful Canon IID2 rangefinder c.1955, fitted with a Canon Serenar 50mm F1.8 lens. The Canon IID2 features shared viewfinder/rangefinder window for quick focus and composition, with the added benefit of variable magnification to aid focusing which is especially useful with longer lenses. The camera has an L39 rangefinder lens mount, so will accept all the Leica, Canon, Minolta LTM lenses. This is a very nice example, showing signs of very light use only by way of a light depression and a couple of brightmarks around the tripod bush on the baseplate, otherwise pretty much a mint camera. Good shutter speeds. Rangefinder clean and clear. Clean lens, showing no scratches or fungus, just some light cleaning marks whe viewed against a light source.
