Lovely honest example of this classic black enamel and nickel 35mm rangefinder camera dating to 1935, fitted with a matching 1935 nickel Elmar 5cm F3.5. We love these camera as they are so close to the original conception and design but with the addition of a very useful coupled rangefinder. Excellent shutter speeds. Clean and clear rangefinder with excellent double image. Clean, naturally bloomed lens, showing no significant haze, fungus or other issues. Minor signs of use only to the black enamel of the camera in the way of some light marks here and there and minor edge brassing, along with the often found browing of the Vulcanite, all what we like to think of as a reassuring patina rather than a detriment. The camera has thew Wallace Heaton decal on the rear, indicating that it was originally a UK importt retailed through them. This is a 90 year old Leica II, in lovely original condition.
